Steps:
Step 1: Go to https://analytics.google.com and click “Start Measuring”
Note: If you already have an Analytics account, then clicking on the link will take you to it. Check out this step to understand how to create a new account from an existing one.
Step 2: Enter your account name, enable the “Google Products & Services” checkbox, click Next
Step 3: Enter the name of your first property (one account can have many different properties for different sites) and click “Show advanced options”
Step 4: Click on the slider next to "Create a Universal Analytics Property" -> enter your website address -> select the "create Universal Analytics property only" option. Click “Next”.
Step 5: Select the checkboxes that best suit your business and click "Create"
Step 6: Check the checkboxes next to Google Policies and click “I Accept”. Done.
Note: If you want to create a new Analytics, but you already have an account: Go to the Admin section (gear) - select "Create a new account" (continue from Step 2) or "Create a new property" (continue from Step 3). If you create only a new property, it will appear in your existing account and all account users will have access to it.
