How to add a user to AdWords with a domain other than gmail

Trouble: "This email address isn't in an allowed domain. To make changes to the domain list, update your security settings."

Only Google accounts can be added as Google ads users. You cannot use any third-party mail. But if you have a Google business account (G Suite) that uses your own domain, you can add it as a user. But first, you need to add it to the list of allowed domains.

What you need:

Admin access to the Google Ads account to which you need to give access
Google mail account (Gmail or G Suite)

Steps:

Step 1: Sign in to your Google Ads account (see "How to login into your Google Ads account?")

Step 2: In the upper right corner of your account, click the tools icon, then under "Setup," click Account access.

Step 3: Click on the "Security" tab.

Step 4: Select "Allowed Domains" -> specify your domain -> click "Add Domain" -> click "Save".

Step 5: Return to the Users tab and click the plus button.

Step 6: Select the access level for the new user, then enter their email address (ad managers usually require admin access). Click Send Invitation.

What next?

The invited user will receive an email from Google with a description of the invitation and an "Accept" button. After clicking on the button and confirming the access, the Google Ads interface will open.

Note: If you sent an invitation to a third-party mail that is not related to Google, the user will also receive an email but will not be able to accept access.
